Windows 7 Home Premium "Non-Genuine Windows" after being away RRS feed

  • Question

  • Well, after being out of state for about 7 days, when I ran my computer again, it started giving me the "This computer is not running genuine windows" popup all of a sudden. It only comes up about every 5 or 6 hours. This PC has never done this before and I just can't seem to figure out what is going on. Windows 7 came with this computer when I bought it brand new  and it worked fine ever since until now.I haven't added any new hardware at all recently.

  • There appear to be problems with your Crypto systems - this is a very rare error, and the only times I have seen this in the past it has been the result of massive corruption in the registry.

I think a repair install will probably be your quickest fix.
