Hi, I've just had to replace my old computer which died. I was running the Money 2000 Standard version and don't know whether I need to download the Home & Business version or the Deluxe version of Money Plus Sunset. Can anyone help please?Wednesday, April 1, 2015 1:20 AM

If you are in the US, you want Money Plus Deluxe Sunset.Wednesday, April 1, 2015 2:14 AMModerator

I'm in Australia Cal. Will that still be the case for here? I've found the second sticky note people keep referring to in this thread to install a 2005 version to convert my files, so I can at least now open them. I'm new to forums & only got to it because someone put the actual link in their reply. How else do I find sticky notes when they're referred to?Wednesday, April 1, 2015 2:35 AM

Look at the post with subject "Download Microsoft Money Installation Files: Solve Activation and Some Other Errors"
You would need the International version to understand your AU file.

I was able to install Money 99 Personal and Business on both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. You may not need to change at all unless money 2000 requires some kind of activation process which is no longer available.Wednesday, April 1, 2015 4:32 AM

You probably have the International English version of Money 2000 for which the msmoney.exe file is version 8.0.14.1015
This runs perfectly well on Windows 7 and should run equally well on Windows 8.1
Over the years Money was dumbed down and whilst there may have been some useful additions much that was useful was cut out ~ my advice is to instal your original Money installation file on your new computer ~ activation does not apply and registration was never necessary.
