Improve security (HTTPS) RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I am using SharedView at home to support remote family members. I would like to also be able to use it at work, and as long as the traffic is not encrypted (HTTP) we are not going to even evaluate organization-wide rollout.

You are close to having a good solution become great. Just read through this page on how much focus has been given to security from CrossLoop:

  • Hi IZ,

SharedView in-session traffic is always encrypted using either of our connection types, either via TCP, or via HTTPS as an automatic fallback (which is a bit slower, but will traverse firewalls).  Initial negotiating of the connection may happen over HTTP, but if you're familiar with security and coding, during development we did extensive threat modeling and mitigations as well. Based on this I believe SharedView makes a good corporate information worker solution.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

    thanks
