Yahoo Backup RRS feed

All replies

  • Hi,

Did you configure your Yahoo account on Outlook desktop client?

If so, it is suggested to export your data to a PST file to back up your data.

For your reference: Export or backup email, contacts, and calendar to an Outlook .pst file.

    Hope this can be helpful.

    Regards,

    Aidan Wang

  • By using Drag and Drop

    • Start by creating a new folder in your system to store yahoo emails. Then Right-click on your PC desktop >click "New," and then click "Folder" in the drop-down menu.

If you are using a MAC system, click "File" on the Finder menu and then select "New Folder."

    • Open your Yahoo email account and open the email you want to backup.
    • Now Select the content and then drag-and-drop the contents into your folder. This way you need to repeat this process again and again with each yahoo mail you want to backup.

Note: This is a tiring process. And is not possible to drag and drop every single email if you are dealing with hundreds of emails.

  • You can backup the Yahoo data to Outlook PST file format using any third party tool.

Once that job is done, you can choose to migrate PST to Office 365 to be on the safer side and also to take advantage of a better file format than PST.

What office 365 does is save the files in a file format that has been designed ground up to be compatible with cloud storage.

    Regards.

  • Well considering that yahoo is an online service, all of your stuff would already be online and so you wouldn't need to.
