My problem is that am highly skeptic about C and end up trying out everything in C,eventhough am familiar with C++ and java.....so am going to continue with C for the rest of coding challenge competitions......is that ok or should i practise C++

more for support of classes(as further tests r goin to b tough)

    please advise

  • Hey ankita, i wud suggest u start practising a bit of C++, although u can fairly manage with C, the efficiency of the program u use and the points u get for it, are goin to be decided on the fact that how small and yet effective is ur program. With C++, it is far more easier to write complex programs using easier and smaller codes, as it is an object-oriented lingo. So i wud say, side-by-side, prepare for C++.....and its not all that different....just a bit of object-oriented logic and some syntactical differences... there's nothin very different or difficult bout C++ as compared to C.....

  • Hey Swapneel,
I want to correct you as u said that there is a very small difference b/w C & C++.But I want to clear that there is  a HELL lot of difference b/w them.As u have mentioned classes & one thing that u didnt mentioned is STLs that make your programs very short and saves lot of your time.So in this way C++ got a major edge over C.Thats y most of the coders these days prefer C++ than c.
