  • Dear Customer,

Thanks for your interesting in Microsoft Fix it Center.

Did you have Microsoft Fix it Center(FIC) installed on your machine. If FIC was installed on your computer, the program will call the lts.dll from FIC rather than the troubleshooter when you run mats_run.devices.exe. there are two solutions you can try:

    1. Uninstall Fix it Center and reinstall it, then run the troubleshooter mats_run.devices.exe.

    2. Uninstall Fix it Center and run the troubleshooter mats_run.devices.exe.

You can download the Fix it Center from the portal http://fixitcenter.support.microsoft.com/Portal if your OS is not win7.

The lts.dll is a component which is used to upload user data(such as weather the issue was solved) to the server.

Please let me know if any question about this issue. Thanks!

  • I have windows 7.
Can someone solve the lts.dll mystery? I have the same problem as LittleDebi, except I am trying to run the Run_Mats_dvd.exe. I also tried running the troubleshooter for the dvd through the control panel with no avail.

Is this a file that can be downloaded? Many websites offer it.

    HELP!!

  • Use winrar to open the fixit file.  You will see lts.dll as a file that you can extract.  Extract lts.dll to the windows main folder and any of the fixit programs will run. I have been getting a runtime error occasionally, but the programs seem to ignore it.  The fixit programs do not create a directory in C:Program Files like Microsoft says.  It seems that their programs are not writing the dll file to the windows directory, so they never run.

  • Dear Customer,

Could you please check weather you have Fix it Center installed. If Fix it Center is installed, please uninstall it or reinstall it and try to run troubleshooter again. If you don't install Fix it Center on your computer, then please check the files under windows temp folder. You can complete the action by the following steps:

    1. Double click the Mats_Run.ieperformance.exe(maybe other name here), and click on Accept to download and extract files.

    2. Click Start->Run, input %temp% and press enter.

    3. Find the MATS-Temp folder under %temp%, and open the random named folder(there are two random named folders under the MATS-Temp). Try to find out Lts.dll file.

Please verify if you have some anti-virus installed which can prevent or delete Lts.dll if you can't find the Lts.dll according to the above method.

Please let me know if any question about this issue. Thanks!

  • I am also having the same problem.  Windows 7 Ultimate.  I tried the steps described above, but I only had one MATS temp folder and it only had one file in it, MATSwiz.exe.  No lts.dll

There are a lot of people posting the same problem and none of us is getting an answer.  Seems like we're all getting the run-around.

Thanks in advance for your help solving this problem.

  • I have the same problem in Win 7. I looked in Programs & Features; there was no Fix it Center. I looked in Windows/temp folder; no Fixit or lts.dll there.

I ran Mats_Run.printing and clicked to download and extract files.

I clicked start->Run, input %temp% and pressed enter.

Under the MATS-Temp folder under %temp% and found only MATSwiz.exe in the random folders.

I have an anti-virus running, but don't know how I can prevent it from deleting lts.dll, if in fact it is doing that. How would I know?

  • Hi All..

in the same space as everyone here..  Cause was that the SQL update failed and then was directed to the FIXIT stuff. Doesn't run because of the missing lts.dll file..

Attaching myself to this post as am hopeful that m/soft will be sending out a fix to everyone registered to these posts to help them through the issue.
