  • Question

  • Hi

I passed some certifications in 2009/2010 and I got a certification ID which is reachable in the MCP account, however when I tried to register in the prometric site
    https://www.register.prometric.com/
I was asked for the prometric ID wich is composed of 9 alphanumeric char meanwhile my microsoft certification ID is composed of 7 only and all of them are numbers this lets me conclude that prometric id is not the microsoft id is that true? and if it is different how can I get my prometric id given my microsoft cert id

    Thank you

  • Hi, MASNSN.

You are correct in assuming that these two IDs are different. At Microsoft Learning, they map your MCP ID to your Prometric ID. There is nothing similar about them otherwise.

Your Prometric ID is on any of your printed exam results, if you still have any of them. Usually it is an ID that looks something like SRnnnnnnn, with the "n"s being a bunch of numbers. Asa well, if you can log the Prometric site, you can also see your Prometric ID by clicking on the link in the navigation reading Update Personal Information.

As a best practice, it is a good idea to make sure your Prometric profile uses the same email as you MCP login email address. That way, there is a greater chance that future passed exams will be correctly added to your Microsoft profile.

If you can't log into Prometric or determine your Prometric ID, you can call them. Here is the contact information for Microsoft exam candidates:
    https://www.prometric.com/en-us/clients/pages/contact-numbers.aspx?client=microsoft

You can also contact your Microsoft Regional Service Center. Their email address is mcphelp@microsoft.com

You can also call them on the phone. Please use the following web page to find the correct contact information for help.
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/help.aspx.

This web page includes email and phone contact information for your geographic location so you can email or call them directly. They will help you get this figured out.

    Good luck!

  • I hope they are able to help you out.

Your Prometric ID is on your printed exam results. It is usually in the upper right corner of your exam results. Prometric uses this ID to track each of us.

Of all the EMEA links on the Prometric contact information page, you are right. There is nothing for Tunisia or even northern Africa. However, there is a link for Other Countries.

    Other Countries Mon-Fri
    8:00-18:00 GMT +01:00
    +31-320-239-800

I really hope they get this resolved for you. Don't give up!

  • Thank youb Davin Mikelson for the response

There is not something similar to the  SRnnnnnn in  all my certifications, the only serial that I found is the certification serial number which begin by Cxxx-xxxx which varies from certification to another

    About the link bellow
    https://www.prometric.com/en-us/clients/pages/contact-numbers.aspx?client=microsoft

there is not relative contact to my country which is Tunisia in EMEA region

I will try with  mcphelp@microsoft.com and I hope have a constructive response
