In My OneCare Circle Can I use and allocate backups to more than one backup device, designate different backup devices? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Forum,

I use a network hard drive for backups in my OneCare Circle.

In the network, can I use a different backup device for a "Non Hud" portable computer using LiveOneCare?

Or does My OneCare circle always have to use my designated network backup device?

When traveling with a notebook can I create an internal hard drive "allocation" and still use LiveOneCare to back up the "traveling" notebook?

Is there a way to "merge" the backup data into the universal network backup drive upon my return to HomeBaseNetwork?

    Thanks,

  • I don't think you can merge backups. Additionally if you change backup locations on a computer One Care will require a new full backup. If your plan is to protect important data while traveling you might take a look at Windows Live Skydrive - http://www.windowslive.com/Online/skydrive to see if it suits your needs.
