botched reinstallation and had to format and install

As title. I botched a reinstall when I got a virus. Wiped the wrong drive and installed there. The drive I have windows on at the moment is the one I want. I bought it 2010 and I was fine untill today. Is there any way of reinstating the key as it was my mistake that may of coused this?
