Removing Hard Drive from Storage Pool. RRS feed

    I have a drive which I am pretty sure is going to fail so I have decided to replace it.      All of the Shares in my WHS box have duplication ENABLED.

    When I remove this drive from the WHS console, is it going to try to copy all the data off of it to another drive, or since duplication is enabled will it skip this step?

    Removing a disk from storage pool will try to copy all data, which is stored on that drive, to another disk. Since for duplicated folders duplication should remain intact, and also non duplicated content and parts of the backup database could be stored on that drive.
