Updated to Vista Ultimate but still shows Home Premium RRS feed

  • Question

  • I upgraded from Vista Home Premium to Vista Ultimate by using phone activation due to problems with the activation code.

However, my system is still showing "Home Premium" and I can not use it with Remote Access nor can I do a complete backup of the system.

    Should I reinstall Vista Ultimate?

    Thanks for your assistance.

  • Hello dghp,

I suggest going to http://support.microsoft.com and opening a Vista Support request. (Vista support for install issues are usually at no cost).

    Thank you,

  •

I did purchase the Vista Ultimate DVD - installed, and did the telephone activation.

My computer still says that it is Home Premium nor does it appear to have the Vista Ultimate tools such as remote access and full backup.
