LiveOne and CA eTrust Security Suite RRS feed

  • I have had both  the LiveOne and the CA eTrust security Suite running on this computer with no problems whatsoever until the most recent update last night.  i am now getting the red at risk from OneCare stating that it is seeing CA is running on this computer and requesting its removal or it may interfere with  OneCare.  CA has been picking up alot more viruses/trojans/etc than OneCare has and wish it to remain running with OneCare.  Is there any patch/fis for this so it doesn't continually 'run in the red'?

  • You should *never* have multiple antivirus, real time spyware protection, or firewalls running on a PC as they *will* conflict. You may have resource problems, system instability, or unexpected behavior. If you believe the CA product is better, remove OneCare. No protection is 100%, but it is certainly possible that the CA product is "catching" more because it *is* already interfering with OneCare and is intercepting the activity before OneCare can ever scan the file.

    There is no solution except to remove one of the two suites.
