  • Question

  • I purchased OneCare for my office computer on Jan. 21st '08. It still shows that I have a trial only. I cannot connect to support because it says I don't have a subscription. HELP!

  • Did you buy online? If so you'll need to sign in with the same LiveID you used to purchase the product. You can check the subscriptions associated to your LiveID by signing in at http://billing.microsoft.com/.Also, check the date and time settings on your computer. If OneCare doesn't ask you to sign in, you may have activated the trial with a different LiveID than the one you used to purchase. (You can see which LiveID you have activated by going to Help -> About. If it doesn't match the LiveID you used to purchase OneCare, follow these instructions to change it).

If you bought a retail box, you still need to activate your product key. After clicking the Continue online button, you'll need to choose Prepaid Key as your payment method, and enter your 25-character product key from inside the retail box.

  • Did you activate OneCare? Click the Subscribe button in OneCare and sign in with the LiveID you used to purchase OneCare.

If you bought a retail box, click Subscribe and sign in with your LiveID, then follow the instructions to purchase with a prepaid key.

You can contact support as a trial user - see this FAQ - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2421771&SiteID=2

  • I tried the subscribe button and it says "it looks like you need a subscription" and it takes you to the OneCare subscription page where I tried to get in touch with support.
