I tried to upgrade my ASUS A7V8X-MX Bios, Sound, and Network drivers last night. Given that the motherboard is over 5 years old, I figure that it was a good idea.... This morning, the system is NOT showing any of the USB ports at all. I've tried just about everything, the ASUS web site, Microsoft updates, rebooting in safe mode, and system restore (2 weeks) to no vail.
I am running Win Xp SP3
Several devices run out of those ports, and I am dead in the water. To make matters worst, I am trying to learn LINUX and the H/D's that I use to practice is by way of USB . I have 3 of them. One for CentOS, one for Ubuntu, and one where Xp is the primary Op. Sys. with 2 virtual machines for CentOs and Ubuntu.
If you have any sugestions, please, could you pass them along?

Hi,
This forum is for Windows Home Server. You would probably have more luck posting in the Windows XP newsgroups.
