OCS 2007 Certificate Problem when connection from Outside network RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello everyone,

I'm having problem in connecting OCS IM outside my network.

    My setup is:

OCS private IP 192.168.100.32 ----> translated to public IP, 116.x.x.x. I have no edge server, my frontEnd server will also act as edge server due to the translation made on my firewall. When trying to connect from outside network, the error msg is "There was a problem verifying the certificate from the server. Please contact your system administrator." Please help. Thanks in adv.

    regards,

    pdmanozon

  • Actually this is not recommended by Microsoft. but as a technically you can do it. Firstly make a certificate from your internal CA that indicate the certificate's SAN - Subject Alternative name and subject name needs to match with external domain name and apply it to front end, and after that  from client browser get client certificate and install it on a client computer as root certificate. then your communicator will work..!
