    Just bought an acer aspire 5570z from walmart. I noticed the product id in the system profile wasn't the same as the one on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop. The sticker looks like it might have been tampered with, almost like a hole was burnt into the center of it. So, I selected "enter new product key" and entered the key from the sticker, it says the key i entered is "invalid for activation." So..what should i do?

    A COA is not a software license – it is a visual identifier that assists in determining whether or not the Microsoft software you are running is genuine.  Major OEM computer manufacturers who preinstall Windows use a master image and product key.  There is no need to attempt to change that product key with the one affixed to our computer.
