I have tried to reinstall the d-link DFE-690txd card but it is still not being recognized by my hp 4150 omnibook laptop?

  I have a hp 4150 omnibook laptop computer.  Suddenly I am having a problem connecting to the internet.  The            error messages said that the eather net cable was unplugged when I tried internet explorer and when I tried to connect with juno the system said that there was a problem with the d-link dfe-690txd card.  I went through my system and I could not reinstall it.  I don't think the card itself is bad?
