Internet Explorer 10 crashes when printing reports in CRM 2011

Question
-
We have a customer where one user moved to Windows 8 last week and after the upgrade she can't print Reports. This is at least regarding custom reports, but there might be a problem with oob reports as well, we haven't been able to completely isolate the problem.
We get a prompt to install SQL Server addon to print (RS2008 print client something...) every time, or almost every time we print a report. On a few occations the report printed is actually printed but IE still crashes.
The Server is at UR 8 in all parts, the reports were working on the customer's previous machine running windows 7 and ie9.
Has anyone else seen similar peoblems?
Thanks

You could try viewing the report directly from the SSRS server and then printing it to see if the crash happens from there as it would at least narrow it down to SSRS.
(The login credentials are your systemuserid GUID for the name and organizationid GUID for the password.)
You also may get a better response at http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-IE/sqlreportingservices/threads where there are a few similar topics.

Hi Rickard,
However you may be using CRM 2011 with IE10 on RU8, it's only fully supported on IE10 under RU10 and only in compatibility mode, and fully supported on RU12.

Hi,
Not yet, we are still trying to isolate the problem. It's a long story. I'll return when I have more info.
Thanks!
