CRM Adventure Works RRS feed

  • Question

  • Whats the best way to import/install CRM to use the Adventure works Database? I've found quite a few different methods all seem to have their own issues

    Thanks

Answers

  • I believe that the intended method is to use Data Migration Manager to import the data from the various csv files and data map files.

  • Pete,

If you have the Adventure_Works_MSCRM database in your SQL then:

    1. Navigate to CRM Deployment Manager
    2. Navigate to Organization
    3. Right Clisk Organization and click Import
    4. Point to the SQL Server and Select Adventure_Works_MSCRM

The above mentioned steps will help you get the Organization imported into your existing Deployment of CRM 4.0.
NOTE: If you have a Professional license you can create only one Organization. If you have Enterprise license then you can create multiple Organizations.

If you do not have _MSCRM database and have sample data (CSV files) then you need to use Data Migration Manager to import all the files into your existing CRM 4.0 Deployment.

    Hope this info helps.
