Can not chose multi user when I create new ?

Question
-
Hi all,
I have facing sigh problems is: My DC is windows server 2k3 64bit ent, CRM server is win 2008 64 bit R2 ent.
On Dynamic CRM server (vCRM4.0), I can create new per user. But try to create multi users can not. I really dont know why.
The step to create new per user one is type DOMAIN\useraccount
Surely that I can "select users from domain or groups" option, but can not find out any user on there. (pls see the image link for more detail)

I seem to recall this as an error that might have been fixed in one of the later Update Rollups. Try applying Update Rollup 13 and see if that fixes the issue. Be sure to apply all applicable updates (Router, SSRS Connector, etc.) and reboot the CRM server(s)

As far as i have seen, you can manually input the user name or choose the lookup option to select the users after selecting the corresponding domain (Only the username will be sufficient not necessarily the domain name also)
Also, as per the second screenshot you have given, you have given crm(domainname)-kd(username)...
Instead try giving only the username or crm\kd and search...

Edwin,
Thanks for your kindly advice.
"crm-kd" is username.
At the 2nd screenshot. I try to search by DOMAIN\crm-kd but does not success also.
Keep waitin' any other...

Vinh,
1. What if you select your Domain instead of CRM Training OU (as in pic one) and then on the next screen instead of typing DOMAIN\crm-kd just try clicking search to see all the users.
NOTE: By this we will understand if we can read the contents of that OU (CRM Training)2. It could be possible that we are missing some read/ write permissions on that OU (CRM Training)
3. Do you have some Active Directory provisioning software used to create AD users?
NOTE: I have worked on a similar issue in the past where users could not be created using Multi User option in CRM as they were provisioned through some software and had some Attributes missing on the AD account.4. Is your Registry key AutoGroupManagementOff set to "0"
Location: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MSCRM5. You may enable CRM tracing to understand what is happening in the background
Download CRMDiag4Tool
NOTE: Please read the comments on zip folders for steps to create trace files.I hope the information helps.

NOTE: By this we will understand if we can read the contents of that OU (CRM Training)I try to chose parent domain and type "crm-kd" on this field and try to chose OU and type "DOMAIN\crm-kd" on field search. Both are not find also !
2. It could be possible that we are missing some read/ write permissions on that OU (CRM Training)
The account that I use is domain admin, full permiss on this OU

NOTE: I have worked on a similar issue in the past where users could not be created using Multi User option in CRM as they were provisioned through some software and had some Attributes missing on the AD account.I create the accounts for using CRM only, its diffirently to username to logon domain
4. Is your Registry key AutoGroupManagementOff set to "0"

Already its "0" value

Vinh,
In point 1 you mentioned:
"I try to chose parent domain and type "crm-kd" on this field and try to chose OU and type "DOMAIN\crm-kd" on field search. Both are not find also !"- Try not typing crm-kd or any user there, just click the search button after selecting your Domain instead of "CRM Training" OU.
- Also ensure you have the latest Update Rollup installed on the CRM server
- Have you captured CRM trace?
- If I am not wrong, you have a single Domain Controller, right?

I had exactly the same problem. Nothing helped me until I discovered that it is of importance how you create your users in your Active Directory.
You need to type not only First name and Logon name but also a Last name. After I added Last names for all my users they all became visible in the Multiple Users dialogs.
So adding last names for all the users solved the problem for me.
Good luck for you, too! :)
