My forums threads don't show latest threads RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi everybody,

I do not see updates when I try to refresh 'My forums threads'. The latest thread is more than 3h. old. However, I've checked 'My forums' and I can see that one forum has a recent thread 4 minutes ago. I tried refreshing 'My forums threads' a few times and it still shows the same old info.

Do you have the same problem and how am I supposed to see the latest questions then?

    Thanks in advance.

All replies

  • Hi Naomi,

Looks like the entire web interface isn't updating. The only way I'm finding new threads is via the RSS view.

I sent in an email to fissues a bit ago but I haven't heard anything back yet.

  • Thanks, Mike. I'll send email as well as I don't use RSS and normally use Web Interface. My favorite forum shows nothing new and even threads where I answered recently show older replies. I can not work in such way as I do not see anything new.

  • When this happens I generally open up individual tabs for the RSS feeds of the few forums I keep track of during downtime like this. I definitely keep an eye on forums issues, in case threads like this one show up.

Hopefully they get it fixed soon, but the last time took many hours if I remember correctly.

  • It is working now for most recent activity. They told me that missing activity will eventually catch up.

  • Yeah, it's working for me in some places. Not everywhere though. ITCG still hasn't caught up yet.

The last response I got said that it may take some time for everything to catch up.

  • What is ITCG?

For me none of the forums caught up. The most recent threads are showing, but the most of the activity today that has been in My Forums are not shown up.

  • What is ITCG?

Sorry, that's the short name of the Official Scripting Guys forum. I have no clue what it actually is supposed to stand for.

For me none of the forums caught up. The most recent threads are showing, but the most of the activity today that has been in My Forums are not shown up.

I'm definitely still missing some threads in the main thread listings. I did hear back from the forums team that there was a very large backlog (like 7+ hours) to work through, so hopefully we start to see things catch up soon.

Two threads i joined yesterday are also still showing up both in the thread overview. Both leading to the same thread though, but still...

  • Seems to be working as expected for me now.

I don't usually use 'My forums threads', but I just checked it and it's up to date with a post I just made a few minutes ago.

EDIT: This thread jumped right to the top of the list too.
