PLEASE Microsoft - Fix 6.5 WM Texts being marked as read - I beg of you RRS feed

    I don't know where else to turn here - all the 6.5 roms have this and I absolutely can't stand it. I have a TP2 with a 6.5 rom sprint - When you have a conversation open and you reply to a text it does NOT mark the last incoming texts as read. On my TP1 as soon as you replied all messages were marked as read. I have found no working fixes at all for this "Feature" it's a horrible feature and I don't know why they would change it. When I'm having a conversation I have to keep an eye on it because even when I reply my phone still blinks new message. Please microsoft can we at least get an option to turn this on and off? If you do some googling there are plenty of other people who can't stand this.

    No one else can seem to fix this - There are 1000's of people (just google) who really really really hate this "feature" Please address this problem as soon as possible or can you at least provide us with a hot fix?

    It should be marked as read if you tap on the new message when the thread is open.

    Yes it does but when you tap it it scrolls the screen up and you have to scroll back down. Not to mention the fact if you are "chatting" with someone and leave it open you have to do this every single time. It's very very annoying. I can't believe someone put this in on purpose.  Look around the internet - you will see that most people can't stand it this way. At least make an option to turn it on and off. When you reply to a message that should be confirmation enough that you read the incoming messages. You can also arrow up and back down 2 times every single message which gets very old. Seems like no one can find a working fix so can you guys at least make this an option to turn this off? My tp1 you would reply and the messages would get marked as read and the phone would stop blinking which makes sense. The way it is setup now makes no sense at all.

    thank you - this is very very annoying.  Can we at least get a hot fix posted very soon? I mean at least make it an option for people.

    Here is an example of people hating this so called "feature" when really it should be a bug.

    Over 16,000 views and these are just the people who are ambitious enough to even do something about it. That thread is for wm 6.1 which the fix doesn't work for. It would be nice to have an official fix very soon. 

    There is multiple complaints all over the internet including ppc geeks and xda. Above is just one example. I can't imagine this would be that hard of a hot fix, could we please get something official posted asap?
