Jetway Mini-ITX J7F2 System RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

my project for windows home server will be based around the Jetway Mini ITX motherboard, model number J7F2 with 1GB ram.

initially a 20 gb disk for system and 3 sata 320 gb drives and 2 x 80 gb usb drives to plug in to the home server.

I think this will make a good combo of home server software and hardware, as power consumption will be low!

anyone else used home server with mini itx boards and if so how was your experiances???

  • Rich,

The recommendation is, that you use your largest capacity hard drive as your system drive. At a minimum, 80gb is required for the system in RC1 and from comments in the forum, a 'smaller' initial drive, leads to problems uring the back-up process.

The rest of your system should be just about do-able if you don't intend streaming media to or from.
