Can not connect with my profile RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear all,

First of all, i tried to find an answer to my issue in the forum, without success.

I used to connect to Live Mesh with a login which was not linked to a Windows Live ID.

I can connect to the web interface using my 'old' login, but I can not connect to the application using this 'old' login.

It looks like I have to login with a Windows Live ID, but my question is how can I synchronize my 'old' login with my existing Windows Live ID (I have one to connect to msn).

    thanks for your precious help.

  • Dear Stephen,

    Thank you for your reply.

Actually, the issue is solved; it was linked to my LiveID.

I tried to connect to Windows Live Mesh yesterday with my LiveID without success. Then I tried to connect to Live Mesh and it worked, so I worried.

The error message I had yesterday said the 'no more users would be able to connect to Windows Live Mesh'. And today, it works.

    Thanks anyway and Regards.

  • If you can connect to www.mesh.com with your LiveID, that is the same LiveID you must use in the client application on the PC. Do note, however, that Live Mesh beta is going away. It will cease to function on the 31st of March 2011. If the client application isn't accepting your login, consider reinstalling the client from www.mesh.com

Do you get any error messages when logging in on the PC? If you can login at www.mesh.com with that ID, it *is* a LiveID, by the way.

  • There was apparently a system issue affecting Windows Live Mesh yesterday. I saw a post about that exact error, which is, of course, false for Windows Live Mesh.

Live Mesh beta is not accepting new users, but that isn't the case for Windows Live Mesh.
