my copy of windows

  i currently tried to see if my copy of windows was valid and i got a message stating that i was not running a valid copy of windows. That seemed odd to me since i do have a sticker of authenticity and i know for a fact that i was running a valid copy until i let someone work on my computer and since i got it back they must of installed a pirated version of windows instead of my origina version. What should i do???????????
