MPExporter: New Maptitude & Excel output options ready for beta testing RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • The new version of MPExporter (v1.2) is pretty much ready for beta testing if anyone is interested.

MPExporter is designed to "export all your accessible data out of MapPoint". The released version already supports KML, HTML (Google Maps/Bing Maps), and SVG. The new version adds Excel (datasets only) and Maptitude.

MPExporter can export all data map types (pie charts, bar charts) to a matching plot type in Maptitude.(*)

Please contact me off list if interested, thanks.

(*) As with the other output formats, shaded area output is currently limited to the US running the Professional license of MPExporter.

  • v1.2  has just been released.

In addition to the above test version, the Excel output option now supports the reprojection of data to your own coordinate system. For example MapPoint data can be transformed to a local State Plane or UTM system.

We are recommending Caliper Maptitude as a replacement for MapPoint for business mapping applications. Anyone making such a move will find MPExporter a useful migration tool.

See http://www.MPExporter.com for further information, free trial download, and purchase details.
