    I think I read somewhere that WHS 2011 can use Win XP drivers in place of Server 2008 drivers.  Is this true?

    Win 7 x64 or Vista x64 drivers usually work on WHS 2011 (based on server 2008 r2), but not always.

    XP drivers usually work on WHS v1 (based on server 2003), but not always.
