Windows Vista Ultimate Activation - Moved from one computer to another RRS feed

  • Question

  • I purchased a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate and installed it on a computer and activated it. Unfortunately, it caused much grief on that system and I removed it and re-installed that computer to its original factory condition(XP). Subsequently, I purchased a laptop and installed that copy of Vista Ultimate on the laptop. Again, a problem with the laptop caused me to return it. Before I returned it, I removed Vista Ultimate. Now, I have purchased a new desktop and upgraded it to Ultimate. All was well until now, which Vista says my copy is in use already. This copy has been moved to multiple machines, but NEVER on more than one machine at once.

How do I get this very legal copy of Vista Ultimate to be activated properly on my current system?
