  • What is the best way to transfer the Notes from an Active Quote to the new Draft when you Revise a Quote?

  • You need to write a plugin, you will read all the notes (annotation entity) fro the revised quote and create new notes to the draft one

  • Actually, you wont need any plugin. A workflow could do this job also. When the status of the quote changes to revised, distribute a workflow from the quote to all its notes. On the child workflow of the distributed workflow, create a new note based on the fields of the ex-note. Distribute workflow could be found here.

    you can't use the distribuite workflow in this case. Inside the workflows (on Note entity) started by the iteration of the main workflow you don't have a reference to the new draft quote, because there isn't a direct relationship between the revised and the draft quote.
