BackgroundSend plugin message RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I am working on a plugin which should fire every time an email is sent or received from the CRM or tracked from outlook. I can see that the Background Send message is available but I was not able to find more information about it. When is it triggered? I have registered my plugin on Send, DeliverPromote and DeliverIncoming messages(queues are used to receive mail in CRM).

    Any advice?

  • Hi,

Yes you can registered a plugin in background by selecting the execution mode to asynchronous option.

  • I think BackgroundSend is used by either the BulkSend mechanism, or when distributing email campaigns, but unfortunately there isn't any more documentation on this.

It may be that this message then invokes the Create and SetState messages (on stage=20 or 40) for each email
