does Live Communications Server 2007 exist? RRS feed

I have got a bit confused. Is MS coming up with new version of LCS 2005 as LCS 2007?

    OR

LCS 2007 has been renamed to OCS 2007?

Can someone point me to any of the MS documentation confirming that LCS 2007 is actually OCS 2007 as in the initial beta released it has been named as LCS 2007?

    Please confirm.

    -Thanks and Regards

LCS 2005 is replaced by Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS 2007). As for a rename, you could be right, the basic server name has changed.

With respect to documentation, see  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb676082.aspx. This URL points to a set of documents that will give you all the information you need.

OCS - the new name for LCS.
