Problem with Office 2007 Standard RRS feed

  • Question

  • Ok, i have run the Validation diagnostic 3 times and every single time the status messages say they all pass.  Problem is when i try to validate my copy of Office 2007, it says that I have office xp pro.  When I did the office 2007 standard install, i told it to wipe out the existing install and install a fresh copy of office 2007.  Now I cant download the save as pdf plugin.   Here is the data dump from the mga diaganostic tool.

  • Pokesomi,

    OGA Data-->
    Office Status: 114 Blocked VLK 2
    Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage - 114 Blocked VLK 2  <--This was wiped out during Office Standard 2007 Install.
    Microsoft Office Standard 2007 - 100 Genuine

    Unfortunately, the product key used to install the Office XP Professional with Frontpage is a Volume License Key (VLK) that has been blocked per the request of the legal VLK holder.

    Also please review the Validation Advisor for further guidance at:

    https://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/ValidationHelp.aspx

     (Based on the diagnostic report,  the Office XP Professional with Frontpage product key has been blocked because it is a Microsoft corporate key.  If this key is being used, please contact your internal IT department to obtain the correct product key assigned to their corporation. )

     If the above is not the case, please be sure to backup or otherwise offload any data from the hard disk because a clean installation/reimaging will destroy all personal user data on the hard drive. Uninstall Office XP Professional with Frontpage and revalidate Office 2007 here at

    http://www.microsoft.com/Genuine/diag/RunDiags.aspx?displayLang=en

    You can use the Windows Uninstall Utility to remove Office XP Professional with Frontpage or from Start, Control Panel, Add Remove Programs, and remove the program from there.

    Website for the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility :  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

    Again, we are sorry to hear about your situation.  Please don't hesitate re-posting if you need further assistance.
