Windows Genuine advantage (Windows 7) error 0xC8000247 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently started getting the popup that windows 7 is not valid. I did recover my data onto a new hard drive two months ago. I cannot download the validation tool. I get the error mentioned in the title.

  • This may simply be caused by a bad set of Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers -

Installing the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers

try downloading and installing them from here - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=22194

    (you want the iata_enu.exe download)

Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.

  • That looks fine.

You should no longer be seeing non-genuine notifications.

    Good luck!

  • Thanks. No non-genuine notifications so far. Additionally, I was not able to 'search' for files since I changed hard drives and now I can again. That is even better!
