If you are trying to change your country in the Billing profile for your LiveID account at http://billing.microsoft.com, I believe that you will need to contact support, but it will honestly be *much* easier to let the existing subscription expire, uninstall OneCare, reinstall from http://onecare.live.com and then subscribe with a *new* LiveID after confirming that your regional settings in Windows are set for Canada and that your IE language setting is English-Canada. For some reason, your Billing account was incorrectly defined as US based and this can be problematic to resolve - if it can be resolved.

  • Even though you aren't using IE, still check the language settings before activating.

You would want to create a new LiveID or use a LiveiD that does not currently have a profile at http://billing.microsoft.com *and* that the profile at http://account.live.com shows your correct country.

Your problem is that the Billing profile for your current LiveID shows you in the US and that isn't going to let you renew with a credit card.

If you go the route of reinstalling, all settings will be reset. It will be like a fresh install.

You *can* renew with a retail CD key at http://billing.microsoft.com as it doesn't require payment information. Select the subscription, choose renew, choose to renew with a token, PIN or key.

  • Yes, the firewall settings will need to be reconfigured when you reinstall.

Before uninstalling, from that PC, make it a Hub if it isn't one already, and select to remove the other PCs from the OneCare Circle by expanding details and clicking the link for this under Your OneCare Circle on the hub. This will cause them to be de-activated. Once you reinstall on the main PC and activate with the new LiveID, activate on the other 2 PCs with that LiveID and you'll be back up and running - after reconfiguring everything again, of course. :-(
