  • Question

  • I've been getting this popup for at least a year now. I've called support twice, the first time they did a "phone activation" and something else. Second time they did a virus scan of my computer using hitman pro, which came up positive for malware. I've since done scans with Norton, Malwarebytes, and Microsoft Security Essentials in safe mode and didn't find any malware, so I don't know what's up with that. I've also checked and repaired my hdd for bad secotors, and cleaned up my registry using Norton. Here are the results from the MGA diagnostic tool:

(I've taken out the hyperlinks in the report because the site won't let me post them without verifying my account. I haven't gotten an email to verify so I will try and figure that out. In the mean time, I hope they are not needed)

  • There appears to be a problem with the WAT install - probably best dealt with by uninstalling and reinstalling the related update...

    Close all open windows.

Open an Elevated Command Prompt window, and type the following command

    wusa /uninstall /kb:971033

    and hit the Enter key

Accept the warnings/confirmations, and wait for it to complete

copy and paste the output (if any) from the command prompt window to a reply here,

    Reboot

    reinstall the update from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971033

    Reboot TWICE

run another MGADiag report, and post it.
