CRM 2011 Installation Error w/Reporting Services RRS feed

    I noticed that someone else this error as well, I have a separate SQL installating that checks out without error however when trying the custom xml installation the recommedned solution also gave a parse error....any ideas how to resolve the error below?

  • Setup failed to validate specified Reporting Services Report Server http://crm2011/reportserver. Error: Unknown exception thrown by report server Client found response content type of '', but expected 'text/xml'. The request failed with an empty response.

    It looks like a Reporting Server error, but when I try the report server url in browser, it works. I'm running the installation under a user with domain admin rights, all updates are installed.

    Try this again with a fully qualified domain name of http://crm2011.company.com/reportserver and see if you get the same issue? Sometimes IIS has problems if the host in the request doesn't match what the server expects.
