Auditing Question RRS feed

  • Hi There,

CRM 2011 on prem RU 6 auditing question. Is it possible to create reports that show the number of times a specific field on a specific opportunity has been updated? I see through the audit summary view I can filter on all the columns, except for the Record column. If possible I'd like to get a count of how many times 1 opportunity was modified, as well as how many times a user modified all opportunities. Are these reports I'll need to build using SQL or is there some functionality I'm missing?

  • This would be something you would need to write yourself using SQL, there is no access to the Audit records from the built in reporting wizard. You'll want to have a look at the view called Audit. Some fields (like the field and data that changed are stored in a concatenated/delimited format so you'll have to do some work to get the data into a usable format. Andrii has a good blog post that should help get you started.
