Question
-
Dear all,
I have an on premise CRm fully working that we use for years now. Today we device to start from using CRM online.
In order to save time we would like to be able at least to import CONTACT and ACCOUNT to CRM online.
The problem I see is that as an Account is linked to a Primary contact and a Contact to a Parent customer how can do those import ?
At first I go to my CRM on site and select contact export account to Excell, then it generate an xml file.
Then I go to CRM online and select import data and point to that file. Then it take it, no error reported, no success reported.. siply nothing and of course my account are not their.
Any idea how can I do it ?
regards

You can work with Microsoft support, and they can migrate your whole On-prem CRM database to Online if you like.

I know they do, I have used it for my clients. If you are migrating to CRM Online, open a case with Microsoft CRM Online support and tell them you want to migrate your on-premises database. They will provide you an SFTP location to load the database and will then load it into the system. You'll need to handle some stuff like setting up users in CRM Online and providing a user map for the Ms support team.

No, your clients need their own licenses.

You should break the round dependency.
1.import account with no Primary contact
2.import contact with parent account
3.export the account as reimportable->modify the Primary contact
4.reimport into CRM system.
