XP Activation key RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

My xp install recently terminally crashed, as I have an oem version om an ES machine I reinstalled a clean copy. I had trouble with the key in initial install but had got the installation key from unnatend so i got past that.
When i went to activate with MS using either the oem key that was in unnatend or the key on the side of the machine it did not work.
I telephoned to activate and got through the process and was auto told to contact the ppl I bought it off to give me a new key. They no longer exist as they went bust so now I have 29 days to activate and I dont want to re buy something I have already bought.
    Any ideas?
    OS: Win xp Home edition

    Thanks
