An unauthorized change was made to windows, windows has discovered a change that will result in limited windows functionality. RRS feed

  • After running the  diagnostic from receiving a message saying an unauthorized change was made to Windows, the problem came back as this. I have had this computer since 2008 and Windows came installed on it. I have Windows Vista and an HP computer. I got the link to do the diagnostic from this forum.

     

    Please help.

    There has been a rash of TTS errors recently which appear to have in common  the fact that Avast is installed as the Anti-Virus.
    If this is the case with you, then I suggest that you uninstall it, and run their cleanup tool. hopefully that will get rid of the notification. You can then install an alternative AV such as MSE or AVG.
