implementation reports using information from crm RRS feed

  • Question

  • we have three servers:
application server, a database and RS and additionally have a Sharepoint server, where they got reports that present information about CRM

sharepoint reports extract information from a CRM database and displays the information externally through the sharepoint interface.
we created a domain user with read permissions on the crm database to the datasource configuration in sharepoint, but when generating the report does not present data in sharepoint.

user connection to the CRM database to the datasource configured in sharepoint requires a security role assigned to the CRM application to make it work?
    anyone can help me

  • The way to see what your new user account can see is to login to SQL Server management studio with it and browse the tables. If you haven't set the user up in CRM and given it security role permissions then you will not be able to see the filtered views in the CRM DB, which is ideally what you should do unless your reports can be set as pass through AD authentication so the user opening the report gets to see what they should only be allowed to see.
