  Internet Explorer version 8.0 came installed with my 64-bit Windows 7 HP Pavilion a4316f computer when I purchased it three months ago and it has been working without any problems.  This week I clicked on the icon to open it and it would not open.  I received a message that "Internet Explorer has stopped working and that Windows is checking for a solution to the problem.  Then I received another message "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."  It hasn't notified me of anything.

  Has anyone else had this problem?

  How do I fix it so that Explorer 8 will open?

  I am having no trouble with Firefox.
