Transfering the website name created for homeserver RRS feed

  • Question

  •

Ok, decided I like my website name but want to transfer it to a hosting company (don't want to host this at home on my server , want to use a hosting company)

    When I do whois.net on xxxx its me (  www.xxx.homeserver.com address )

So how do I get my auth code (my new hosting company says there is a registration code that I need) to do the transfer from MS ?

  • I''ll be honest, I dont think you will be able to do that.

The reason I say that is because the homeserver.com domain is given to you as part of your WHS and not to be used as a domain name for anything other purpose and transferring it out to a hosting company to use for something else is certainly another purpose.

  • Your xxxx.homeserver.com address is non-transferrable.
