It says that "because windows installed on your PC is genuine, enjoy the security, reliability and protection it provides."

In that case I suspect that you suffered a ‘race condition’ which happens when two programs fight for control of a file or memory. It happens occasionally – and sometimes repeatably – but usually goes away never to be seen again.

Your system appears to be properly activated, but failing validation because it is unable to contact the server.
What happens if you go to www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate  and attempt to validate?

  • Your Windows is licensed.  How about sharing with us the exact message that you are seeing?  Was the error message displaying at the time you ran the MGADiag tool?

  • when i ran the MGADiag tool the message wasn't popping up. It has only popped up once and I immediatley shut the PC off. The message was on the lower left right corner of my desktop. The message was as follows: Windows 7 Build 7601 This copy of Windows is not genuine. It has not came up agian. Could it just have been a communication error?
