Timesheet submission without selected check box and about administrative time configuration RRS feed

  • When the team member enter hours in some tasks of timesheet and submit to timesheet manager . it is necessary to select check box for submission of selected tasks ?

    Because when the team members with out selected checkbox . and enter save and submit. then only those tasks gone to timesheet manager which are entered hours.

    When we configure administrative time categories in server settings page .

    Kindly tell me what it means by "Status" and "Approve" . how we can use this values for administrative time category.

  • Hi Basim,

    As you said is correct, if you dont Select the the checkbox it will send the the update for entered hours automatically. The check box is given when Team Member want to send some specific task not the complete timesheet.

    To answer your second question,
    Status (Open , Close) is used to allow/deny Time Sheet entery ageinst the Catagory
    Approver (Yes, No) is used for those catagory where approval is required from Timesheet Manager.

  • Hi Basim,

    Administrative time is used for Meeting, Vaccation or Administrative Work like Reading or Responding E mails etc.

    To Answer to your question "Status" and "Approve" can be used in case of Administrative Time like
    (Vaccation) for that you need to get approval from your Timesheet Manager. For that approval when you request for Administrative vaccation to your Timesheet manager it shows status Amber, when it is approved by Time Sheet Manager, it gets Green else Red if it is rejected by your Manager. This is how we can use Status and Approve for Administrative category.

  • If we change the "Status" field to "Closed" or "Open" and Work Type to "Working" or "Non Work" and set Approve to "Yes" or "No".

     

    what will be the effect of this on the team member side and timesheet manager side.
