Windows 7 activation problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • I purchased a 3 user license of Windows 7 Home Premium and installed+activated all 3 licenses.  I later upgraded one of the pc's to Windows 7 Pro.  I then wanted to use the abandoned Home Premium license on a 4th PC.  I expected the activation to fail.  What I cannot get past is the activate by telephone prompts.  Once I key in all the inforamtion I'm told I have to purchase another license.  When I chose the option to talk to a representative, I am told  "Sorry.. try your call later."  It takes 10 minutes to get to that point and I have done it 3 times already.  How do I get past this trap?

Simply do not respond at all - this forces an operator to pick up.
