Spam users

Hi Technet,
There are much of spammers in the forums. If we mark a user as spammer, the forum is cleaned quickly. That's very good.
Most spammers make more then 10 discussions in a very short time. Maybe it is possible to autoblock such users?

Hi,
There are autofilters in place to catch spam threads. They work much better now then they used to, IMHO. I've proposed adding post rate limiting to slow down the spammers, but I don't think that suggestion has been accepted (yet, at least).
Anyway, just keep on tagging any spam you see as such and the admins/mods will take care of it.

As you can see, each minute 1 post. If the forum autoblock each users who make x postings in x minutes...
Come back and mark replies as answer if they help, and help others with the same problem.

I've been asking for rate limiting for at least a year. Hasn't happened.

Okay,
If many people vote this topic as helpfull, maybe Microsoft improve the forum against spammers. ;)
It should be simple to do more with rules.

Unlikely, they're already aware of the spam scourge. Just keep on tagging posts as spam and that will help more than asking for votes here.

I think that's a vast oversimplification.

Hello Ahuibers,
One of the things the forum team does, is to try to avoid spamming.
However, be aware, sometimes the cure is worse then the treat.
