I need the proper format for SyncToy scheduled update? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I previously had issues where SyncToy was not deleting files and folders on the right side when set to Echo.  I have reinstalled Vista (for other reasons) and am going to try again.  I read the instructions for setting up to run on a schedule.  I am still confused about the quotes.  I have 9 pairs, all Echo.  All have spaces in the pair name.  Is this example correct for scheduling all to run one after the other?

    "C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.0\SyncToyCmd.exe"  "-R"

If not, please advise where the quotes go so all pairs echo.  Please spell it out for me.  I appreciate it.

  • "C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.0\SyncToyCmd.exe" -R

    works for me.

I don't think that the action type (Synchronize, Echo or Contribute) matters as far as setting up a scheduled run goes - all that information is held in the Folder Pair details, not in the schedule information.
