  • I was just curious are those file sharing programs like limewire, kazaa, morpheus, and napster legal or illegal.........? because you can download stuff for free, because I use limewire to download music a lot.

  • Actually the music u download is illegal but the software's are legal
    they r controversial P2P softwares ..
    becoz they r user controlled and nothing is stored in the servers of those companies
    thatswhy they r used so much.

    The softwares are legal.. But I heard that microsoft and big companies have asked to make them illegal.. and stop the activites of p2p.. but they forget that the msn messenger also allows p2p with the sharing folder which is introduced in the new msngrs..

  • I think software is not illegal but downloading and sharing illegal softwares and any type of unauthorized data is illegal ...

    But then What are this p2p softwares ment for?? They are ment to share files.. and as we see, they are only used to share pirated music, movies and softwares.. If someone wants to share a personal file, it is not safe in p2p because it is open to all and so its general.. So for what else are this p2p used for??
