  • Hi Pranay,

Unfortunately there will be no way around this error using the default project documents library, you will need to create a new standard SharePoint document library for these users.

    Thanks

  • Hi Pranay,

Have you added your normal account (non admin) manually to the Project Site via Site Actions > Site Permissions?

    Thanks

    Paul

  • Andre

Does your user account belong to the Team of the Project ? Normally permissions are syncronised from PWA to teh Project Site and if you are part of the Projects Team you should have permissions, to upload docs.

  • Hi Pranay,

This is the reason for seeing the error when uploading docs, the SharePoint permissioning is working (manually added) and therefore allows you to updolad the document but when the upload process checks the Project Server PWA persmissions it fails. To remove this error, please let project server automatically add users to the Project Sites based on their permissions. Project Server will added users to the Project Sites on a project publish if you auto synch the permissions - you can check in PWA > Server Settings > Project Site Provisioning settings. Below are the details on how user will be permission on each Project Site:

•Project managers who have published a project or who have Save Project permissions on a project are added to the Project Managers (Microsoft Project Server) site group.
•Team members with assignments in a project are added to the Team members (Microsoft Project Server) site group.
•Other Project Server users who have View Project Site permission on a project are added to the Readers (Microsoft Project Server) site group.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks

    Paul

  • Hi Pranay,

Did you follow what Paul has suggested about the Project Workspace provisioning settings in server settings of PWA?
